Beckham Causing Bedlam

The message of Cliff Richard’s “We Don’t Talk Anymore” has never resonated so well.

According to news reports,  two boys ages 9 & 10 attended the Pan-Pacific Championship soccer match where the Los Angeles Galaxy faced Japan’s Gamba Osaka. In typical fashion, like the minor league team they are, the Los Angeles Galaxy lost.

However, the story gets interesting when, after the game, Beckham approached the two young boys and offered one of them his game jersey. Apparently, the 10 year-old had been holding up a sign the whole game that lured Beckham over to their area. However, Beckham gave his jersey to the 9 year-old boy which soon led to a fight over the jersey that needed to be broken up by security.

They are in talks currently over sharing custody of the jersey. Hilarious.

Do you think in the future the two kids will realize they were fighting over an aged, overrated, overpaid athlete’s jersey who plays for a minor league team?

Maybe they will quote the great Cliff Richard, “Its so funny how we don’t talk anymore,
Its so funny why we don’t talk anymore.”
